March's box

We are very excited to announce the line-up for March’s box. This month we have collaborated with the Mikkeller family to feature a selection of their high-end and innovative imported <0.5% beers, a bracket in which they have become somewhat of an icon.

We are also trialing a transition to a different ratio of beers, to offer more variety in each box. This is in response to member feedback and our longstanding wish for the <0.5% abv beer market to produce enough quality beers to make this possible (and still retain our pledge not to repeat a beer for at least six months). We are delighted that so many new entrants are coming to market, which means we can start to offer so much more variety.

SBC Members receive this month:

Two bottles of Mikkeller’s ‘Drink’in in the Sun’ (0.3%) – An American style wheat ale brewed with floral hops at D’Proef ‘Brouwerij’ in Belgium.

Two bottles of Mikkeller’s ‘Drink’in in the Snow’ (0.3%) – With the March weather looking a little less Spring-like of late, we have also included Mikkeller's winter ale, brewed with roasted coffee and chocolate aromas.

One can of Mikkeller’s ‘Weird Weather’ (0.3%) – Another Belgian import, we love this New England style IPA and the almost pint-like amount from the 500ml can. Made with oat flakes to give extra body, this is a rounded-IPA with a citrusy taste.

One bottle of Old Speckled Hen (0.5%) – A fine English ale malted in abundance and brewed with four different hops, this is identical to the high-abv version but with the alcohol gently removed via reverse-osmosis.

One bottle of Big Drop’s Pale Ale (0.5%) – Dry hopped with citrus hops and a twist of lime, this is an excellent pale ale from the ever reliable Big Drop.

One bottle of Stiegl’s ‘Freibier’ (0.5%) – Left unfiltered for body, our first 'weissbier' nicely rounds off March’s box.
We are certain that our members will enjoy one of our best boxes yet. Join them here.
